30 days, no questions asked. If a product isn't what you expected, email us within 30 days of buying and you get all your money back. You keep the file.
You can't flip through a PDF before you buy it, the way you can a book in a shop. So the refund policy is deliberately simple: we'd rather refund someone than have them feel stuck with something that wasn't for them.
How to ask for one
- Email [email protected] from the address you used at checkout
- Include your Gumroad receipt or order ID if you have it handy. It isn't required, it just makes things faster
- That's it. You don't have to explain why, though we're always glad to hear what didn't work
What happens next
We reply within two business days and issue a full refund through Gumroad. The money goes back to the payment method you used. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it usually appears within 5 to 10 business days.
We'll email you to confirm once it's done.
Keeping the file
We won't ask you to delete anything you've downloaded. We have no way to check, and chasing people over it would be worse than the refund itself. We just ask that you don't share it.
The limits
The 30-day window runs from the date of purchase. After that we can't promise a refund, but if something has genuinely gone wrong, email us anyway and we'll see what we can do.
We may decline requests where there's clear evidence of abuse, such as repeated buy-and-refund cycles on the same product, or bulk purchases refunded after distribution. It's rare, and we'd rather not need the clause.
If something is broken
If your file won't download, a link stops working, or the PDF won't open, that isn't a refund situation, it's a fix. Email us and we'll send the file directly, usually the same day. You only need a refund if you want your money back, not if you just want the book.
Please talk to us before your bank
If something's wrong, email us before disputing the charge with your bank or card issuer. A refund from us is faster and simpler for you than a chargeback, and you end up in the same place.
Your statutory rights
This policy sits on top of any consumer rights you have where you live. In some countries, the legal right to cancel a digital purchase ends once the download begins. Our 30-day policy applies regardless, and is more generous than the legal minimum in most places.
Who issues the refund
Gumroad, Inc. is the merchant of record for all orders and processes refunds on our instruction. If you can't reach us for any reason, you can also contact Gumroad's support directly.
